VACATION   BIBLE SCHOOL

Please realize the importance of attending Mass with your children each weekend

Well, we had another fun filled week at Vacation Bible School. The theme this year, "Power Lab the Miraculous Power of Jesus", had the children having a bible adventure, doing amazing crafts, having some wacky snacks, along with incredible music and games. The kids also meet new and lasting friends every year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers for their time and talent because, without them, we would not be able to give our children this week-long adventure.

I would like to first thank Lisa Kelly our VBS Director for all her hard work in making this program a huge success every year for the last 9 years. Thank you to John Murray, Esterina Lione, and Maria Holzer for their dedication the last 9 years. Thank you to Rosemary Toffel and Renee Walsh for the smile on their faces every morning and the way they make everything look so easy!!!

Thank you to my decorating crew who, every year, transforms the Lower Church into a magical place to be:

Bonnie Tedeschi, Doreen Raftery, The Kelly Family.

Thank you to Deacon Somma who has also been with me for the last 14 years, reading the Bible story to the children every morning. And last, but not least, thank you to all of our Junior helpers who were a pleasure to have again this year: Adrianna Rosamilia, Elizabeth Kelly, Michael Carnevale, Amanda Vuccolo, Caitlin Chapski, Nick Benincasa, Catharine Kelly, Lily Hardester, Krista, Lowe, Emma Capro, Delanie Freund, Bella DeSheplo, Michael Sano, Michael and Luke Sweeney, Maggie Kelly, Christopher Stewart, and Eva Burgdorf.

As you can see it takes a lot of caring individuals to make a program work and I feel very blessed to know and work with these volunteers.

Sincerely yours,

Patty Chavez

Vacations are meant to be fun ! Well vacation bible school is no different ! Every summer we embark on an adventure to a new pretend location, it could be a journey into the sea, a trip to a foreign country, or maybe right here in the good old US of A! This year we held a Fiesta, and we all learned  more about our religion.

We read stories, had an arts and crafts session, played some games and ate a few snacks. But most importantly we learned a little bit more about how God loves us and how we can return that love. We haven't yet decided where we should go to next year, but we hope you will be able to join us.
