Please realize the importance of attending Mass with your children each weekend
THEME:
Grace as our link with God, his gift to us to bring us
to Himself and his eternal life, with an emphasis on transmission of grace
through the seven sacraments and on God's loving gifts of revelation, of
himself through the prophets, the Incarnation, and the Church. The role of
grace in developing the virtues.
AIM:
To help the young person treasure the sacraments as indispensable to a full Christian life of love and truth. To understand how grace works in our souls and its relation to practicing the virtues and to appreciate our gifts of reason and faith.
Seventh Grade requirements for 2009/2010:
1) Apostles Creed, The Ten Commandments, Seven Sacraments, Introduction to the Prayer to St. Michael
2) Prayers - Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Act of Contrition, Apostles Creed, Prayer to St. Michael
Below you will find your assignments for the week.
Guidelines:
You must set time aside each week to complete your chapter and activity book. This will ensure that you will not fall behind. Please give your child any assistance they need.
You have been given a code number IF YOU ARE WORKING ONLINE so that our home study coordinator can identify each student. These code numbers will be used when taking the Mid-term and Final exams.
There are approximately 15 weeks in the fall semester, ending in December. At this time he Mid-Term exam will be posted on the site for you to take on-line. At the end of the semester, in May, your Final exam will be posted on-line. MAKE SURE you print out a copy of each exam with your answers.
IF YOU ARE NOT WORKING ONLINE the exams will be mailed to your home and you will, in turn, mail them back to us.
Please go over the requirements for your grade. The answers for your assignments are posted on this site. Also, you will find the answers to your activity book posted online so that you can check them each week.
Please make sure you keep your activity book up to date, IT MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE END OF THE YEAR IN ORDER TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
