Please realize the importance of attending Mass with your children each weekend
THEME:
The blueprint for a life of love: the law of God, especially in the Ten Commandments, and the presence of Jesus in the Holy Mass. The interaction of the challenges of God's law and his gifts of grace that help us fulfill his law.
AIM:
To help the sixth grade student learn to love the law as Christ did and to cherish and love the Mass as our best prayer to God, and especially to revere and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Sixth Grade requirements for 2009/2010:
1) Beatitudes, The Ten Commandments, Seven Sacraments,
2) Prayers - Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Act of Contrition, Apostles Creed, Prayer to St. Michael, The Rosary
Below you will find your assignments for the week.
Guidelines:
You must set time aside each week to complete your chapter and activity book. This will ensure that you will not fall behind. Please give your child any assistance they need.
You have been given a code number IF YOU ARE WORKING ONLINE so that our home study coordinator can identify each student. These code numbers will be used when taking the Mid-term and Final exams.
There are approximately 15 weeks in the fall semester, ending in December. At this time he Mid-Term exam will be posted on the site for you to take on-line. At the end of the semester, in May, your Final exam will be posted on-line. MAKE SURE you print out a copy of each exam with your answers.
IF YOU ARE NOT WORKING ONLINE the exams will be mailed to your home and you will, in turn, mail them back to us.
Please go over the requirements for your grade. The answers for your assignments are posted on this site. Also, you will find the answers to your activity book posted online so that you can check them each week.
Please make sure you keep your activity book up to date, IT MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE END OF THE YEAR IN ORDER TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
