Please realize the importance of attending Mass with your children each weekend
THEME:
God's plan of salvation, from creation to the
Incarnation and Redemption to the birth of the Church at Pentecost and our
life in the Church. Special emphasis on the importance of Confession,
Communion and the Mass.
AIM:
To show the third grade students that they belong to God's chosen people and the child's family is an important part of God's family, the Church. Also, to encourage prayer and love for God's law.
Third Grade requirements for 2009/2010:
1) Introduction to the Apostles Creed
2) Prayers - Introduction to the Ten Commandments
- The Two Great Commandments:
1) Love God above all
2) Love your neighbor as yourself
Below you will find your assignments for the week.
Guidelines:
You must set time aside each week to complete your chapter and activity book. This will ensure that you will not fall behind. Please give your child any assistance they need.
You have been given a code number IF YOU ARE WORKING ONLINE so that our home study coordinator can identify each student. These code numbers will be used when taking the Mid-term and Final exams.
There are approximately 15 weeks in the fall semester, ending in December. At this time he Mid-Term exam will be posted on the site for you to take on-line. At the end of the semester, in May, your Final exam will be posted on-line. MAKE SURE you print out a copy of each exam with your answers.
IF YOU ARE NOT WORKING ONLINE the exams will be mailed to your home and you will, in turn, mail them back to us.
Please go over the requirements for your grade. The answers for your assignments are posted on this site. Also, you will find the answers to your activity book posted online so that you can check them each week.
Please make sure you keep your activity book up to date, IT MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE END OF THE YEAR IN ORDER TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Read Chapters 29 and 30. Complete the Activity Book for these Chapters.
