Gold Record LP

After more than 35 years of collecting anything that has to do with Dean Martin, I thought that I just about had it all. This Site is just a very small portion of what my collection consists of. I have literally thousands of items regarding Dean, some very rare and now worth quite a bit of $$$...

...but some things money just can't buy, and after all the years of collecting and idolizing Dean (since I was about 13 years old) and thinking that nothing else could be added to my collection that could really be any more special than what I already have, up comes something totally unexpected and extremely special.

Due to the vast amount of pictures that I have collected through the years I was able to help Dean's family with some that they hadn't seen before, special moments captured by photographers for newspapers, magazines, etc.

Not only were Jeanne and Deana so kind as to call me, but to my surprise, amazement and enjoyment I came home one day to find a large package waiting for me after a long day at work. The following is what I received from Jeanne.

I have to put it on this page in sections because it's too big for my scanner, but it is a very beautiful and special gift, from a very wonderful lady, Jeanne Martin. She also enclosed a note that I regard as just as special as the record and I will cherish it, always.

My collecting is still, after all this time, bringing me joy. Dean will remain my favorite entertainer and idol. A great talent that lives on through movies, tv, CDs, tapes and all the rest. As with just about everyone in this life, I have had many setbacks and hardships over the years, but at times like these I feel I am the luckiest guy in the world.
