The HERBIE comic has a couple of pages with Dean
and Frank making a guest appearance. The Beatles also appear in
this issue (as cartoons, of course. Hey, it's a comic book!)
I have added some of the back covers in which
there were pictures of Dean.
Rough Night in Jericho was based on a book by Al
Conroy titled The Man in Black. The movie novelization (yellow
cover) states that it was based on the book written by Marvin H.
Albert, but he was the co-author of the screenplay, so I believe
this is a misprint due to the fact that I have The Man in Black
book and it's author is Al Conroy.
Other books shown have sections about Dean or he
is mentioned throughout the book. Of course, DINO is all about
Dean's life.
The book about Howard Hawks has a section about
Rio Bravo and Dean.
In Alan King's book there is a very touching
story about Dean in his favorite restaurant.
Rough Mix, by Jimmy Bowen, talks about Dean and
Frank when he produced their records at Reprise.
The Michael Landon book has a couple of pages
about his trip on Dean's jet when Landon was a guest on Dean's
show.
