WHAT'S NEW AT NRR?

Navesink River Rowing is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about all aspects of the sport of rowing.  We maintain a fleet of boats for members to use from early May through late October, and offer lessons, coaching and youth programs in June, July and early August.

Re-scheduled Winter Party - Saturday, March 27
7 p.m. at Monmouth Boat Club.  Bring your own beverage and a dish to share to NRR’s annual off-season social event.  RSVP by March 24th to Trish at 732-706-0911 or j.crosby@comcast.net.

Spring Youth Program begins
Saturday, March 27
, 7 - 10 am: rig boats, clean up site, 2K ERG test (for those who have not taken it yet or want to retake).
Sunday March 28,
7 - 10 am:  Water tryouts.

General Membership Meeting - Wednesday, April 7
6:30 pm for Pizza.  Meeting starts at 7 at Umberto’s, River Rd, Fair Haven. Find out how NRR operates and how you can help.  Board elections. Formation of 2010 work groups and committees.

Work Parties - Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18
We have two days to get NRR singles, oars, and the site ready for the 2010 season.  Please plan to pitch in! Work parties start at 8 am and usually finish a little after noon.  Come when you can and leave when you need to.  We provide bagels, coffee, and credit towards the 2010 service requirement for all. 

Pink Bank Regatta (7 am) and Gala Open House (10 am) - Sunday, May 2
This will be a fun, informative day of events in support of Paint the Town Pink - a week long, community wide effort by Riverview Medical Center and the Red Bank RiverCenter to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment. There will be races, awards, and a boat naming ceremony as well as free rowing demos, site tours, Lesson and Program signups.
