2010 Private lesson Coach: Christopher Meharg
Chris Meharg has been an NRR coach for four summers
and previously coached for both the Collingswood and Moorestown crew clubs in
South Jersey. A graduate of Susquehanna University and captain of their crew
from 2000-2003, Chris currently teaches and coaches crew at the Ranney School.
2010 Senior Coach : Amanda Mahasky
A senior at West Virginia University, Amanda is in charge
of t he Novice youth program. She has seven years rowing and coxing experience
including four years at NRR and three at WVU. This is Amanda's second season as
an NRR coach.
2010 Coach: Josh Prown
Josh is easily recognized by adults who took beginner lessons early in the 2009
season. He taught most of them! While this is his first summer as an NRR coach,
Josh has helped coach our spring and fall youth programs for the past few years.
A member of CBA's first crew program, he has also rowed at and competed for NRR.
2010 Assistant Coach: Ian Bamberger
A veteran of NRR youth programs and a junior coach last season, Ian stepped up
to teach adult beginners in May and June and was definitely up to the task (as
well as other coaching duties). He will attend and row for Rutgers University
this fall.
2010Assistant Coach: Eamonn Sweeney
Eamonn started rowing on land - through John Crilly's Navesink
Indoor Rowing program - before enrolling in NRR summer youth program s and
competitive crews. He was a junior coach last season and is assisting with the
Youth Program this fall while attending Monmouth University.
2010 Assistant
Coach: Max Kenny-Little
Max was introduced to rowing in upstate New York when he
was quite young and could hardly wait to turn 14 and row with NRR. As a youth
program rower, a member of our competitive crews, a junior coach in 2008 and a
coach this season, he has been making the trip from Toms River for 4 years now.
He also stepped up to substitute for our Head Coaches when asked. Max will
attend and row for Marist College in the fall.
